Bariloche is the town on the lake at the foot of the Andes, inside the oldest national park in Argentina: lakes in every direction, forests of cinnamon-coloured arrayanes, a glacier that thunders, the famous road of the seven lakes and, in winter, the biggest ski area in South America. Two hours by air from Buenos Aires. These are the trips we arrange there.
Flights, hotel, transfers and the days you choose, quoted as one price. This is how 01Argentina works: we do not sell loose excursions, we build the whole trip and stand behind it.

The Circuito Chico and the Campanario viewpoint, a full day by catamaran to Victoria Island and the Arrayanes Woods, and a free day for an optional tour, with three nights and flights.

The hotels we use in Bariloche, in the town and on the lake road, from three-star to five-star, all included in a package with flights, transfers and your days.

Cerro Tronador and the black glacier, El Bolsón, Puerto Blest by boat, the Seven Lakes Route and the Circuito Grande, each a full day to add to any package.
More ›Three nights is the usual answer, four is better. The Circuito Chico takes an afternoon and Victoria Island a full day; after that every big excursion is a day and goes in a different direction, so each one you want is a night more.
Skiers stay five or six nights. Travellers combining Bariloche with El Calafate give it three.
All year, with two faces. Summer, December to March, for the lakes, the long days and the boats; April for the autumn colour, the most beautiful month; June to September for skiing on Cerro Catedral, when the lakes are under snow; spring for quiet and green. Only the Seven Lakes and Tronador roads can close for a day after heavy snow.
By air from Buenos Aires, about two hours, with several flights a day; the tickets are included in every package here and our guide meets you at the airport. From El Calafate there are direct flights in season, which is how the Patagonia combination works.
The best. Villa La Angostura, the Seven Lakes Route, San Martin de los Andes, El Bolson and Cerro Tronador are all day trips from the town, and the lake itself is at the end of the main street. We put the classics in the package and the rest in the optional tours.
All three, and El Calafate most often: see the seven-day Bariloche & El Calafate tour. Ushuaia is a short flight on from El Calafate; Iguazu is reached through Buenos Aires. Tell us how many days you have and we lay the route out.
Hotels in the centre of town and along the lake road towards the Llao Llao peninsula, from comfortable three-star to five-star, chosen with you when we quote. The town for restaurants and shops at the door; the lake road for the view and the quiet.
Write to us with your dates, how many of you are travelling and whether you want the lakes, the glacier, the snow or all three. We come back within 24 hours with a proposal written for you, the days laid out and everything priced as one figure. Nothing is booked until you are happy with it.
Most of Patagonia is steppe and wind; Bariloche is the exception, a lake district of forests and snow peaks on the Chilean border, settled by Swiss, German and Italian families who built the chalets, the chocolate shops and the ski resort. Nahuel Huapi, the lake it sits on, is a hundred kilometres long with arms reaching into the Andes, and the national park around it was the first in Argentina, founded on land given by the explorer Francisco Moreno.
The classics are the Circuito Chico, with the view from the Campanario, and the day by catamaran to Victoria Island and the Arrayanes Woods; both are in every package here. Beyond them, each road is a day: Cerro Tronador and its black glacier, the Seven Lakes Route, El Bolson, Puerto Blest. In winter, Cerro Catedral turns the town into the ski capital of South America.
Tell us your dates and how many of you are travelling and we lay the days out, quote flights, hotel and transfers as one figure, and combine Bariloche with the rest of Patagonia if you have the time. We have been arranging trips across Argentina since 2005, and one person handles yours from the first email to the last day.
Free quotation within 24 hours, with no obligation. Tell us your dates, how many of you are travelling and which season you have in mind, and we will come back with the trip laid out and everything priced together.
