Privacy policy

This page explains, in plain words, what information we collect when you use 01argentina.com, what we do with it, who we share it with and how to ask us to correct or delete it.

Who we are

01Argentina Travel Agency is the trading name of BA Travel Services, a travel agency registered with the Argentine Ministry of Tourism under file No. 17869, with its office at 523 San Martín Street, 4th Floor, Apt. H, Buenos Aires, Argentina (C1004AAK). We also operate 01Argentina Travel Agency LLC in Miami, Florida. This policy covers 01argentina.com and its language versions on subdomains (de., rus., ro., se.01argentina.com). For anything related to your personal data, write to info@01argentina.com.

What information we collect

What you give us. When you fill in a contact or quotation form, write to us by e-mail or WhatsApp, or call us, we receive what you send: usually your name, e-mail address, telephone number, country, travel dates, number of travellers, and whatever you tell us about the trip you have in mind. Later, if you book, we also need the passport details, dates of birth and dietary or medical needs of the travellers, because hotels, airlines and guides require them.

What is collected automatically. Like almost every website, ours records technical data about your visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on site and the page that brought you here. This is collected through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and in the server logs of our hosting provider.

What we use it for

To answer your enquiry and send you the travel proposal you asked for.

To arrange and operate your trip: reservations with hotels, airlines, ferry and bus companies, guides and drivers, and to contact you before and during your journey.

To keep the records that Argentine tax and tourism regulations require us to keep.

To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used and improve it. We do not build individual profiles.

We do not send newsletters or marketing e-mails unless you ask for them, and we never sell, rent or trade your information.

Who we share it with

Only the people and companies needed to arrange what you booked: the hotels, airlines, ferry and bus operators, transfer companies and local guides at each destination, and only the details each of them needs (a hotel gets your name and dates, not your telephone number, for example). Some of these providers are outside your country, including in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.

Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) processes the technical visit data described above under its own privacy policy. If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp’s privacy policy.

We will disclose information if a court or public authority legally requires it.

Cookies

This site uses cookies from Google Analytics to measure visits. They do not identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on; the site keeps working without them. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into a trip are deleted after two years. Records of trips we arranged are kept for the period Argentine tax and tourism regulations require (currently ten years), and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to info@01argentina.com from the e-mail address you used with us and we answer within 10 business days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights set out in the GDPR, including data portability and the right to object; if you are a California resident, the rights set out in the CCPA. We do not sell personal information.

Under Argentine Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326, the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública is the authority in charge of receiving complaints about the handling of personal data.

How we protect it

The site runs over HTTPS, access to our booking records is limited to the advisors who work on your trip, and we do not store card numbers: payments are made by bank transfer or through the payment provider, whose pages handle the card data.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. Our booking and cancellation conditions are on the terms and conditions page. Questions go to info@01argentina.com.
