Terms and conditions

What you are agreeing to when you book a trip with us, in plain words: what is included, how payment works, what happens if you cancel and what happens if we have to change something.

Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to every trip arranged by 01Argentina Travel Agency (trading name of BA Travel Services, Argentine Ministry of Tourism file No. 17869, ASTA member 900202085), whether you booked it through 01argentina.com, by e-mail, by WhatsApp or through an invoice we sent you. By paying an invoice you accept them.

We are a travel agency: we plan the trip, book each service and look after you while you travel. The services themselves (hotel nights, flights, ferries, excursions, transfers) are operated by the hotels, airlines, ferry companies and local operators named in your proposal, under their own conditions.

What your trip includes

Exactly what your proposal and invoice list, and nothing else. Our packages are made up of some or all of these components: accommodation, tours, guides and transfers (land services); domestic flights within Argentina; ferry tickets between Buenos Aires and Uruguay; long-distance bus tickets. Meals, drinks, tips, national park entrance fees, travel insurance and anything marked as “not included” or “optional” are paid separately.

Booking and payment

Your trip is confirmed when we receive the payment shown in the invoice (a deposit or the full amount, as stated there) and we send you the written confirmation. Until then, hotel rooms, flight seats and excursion places are not held. Prices are quoted in the currency shown in the proposal and can change until the booking is confirmed, because airlines and hotels change theirs.

Cancellation policy

Each component of your trip has its own cancellation rule, because each provider applies its own. All cancellations must be sent to us in writing, to info@01argentina.com; the date we receive your e-mail is the date that counts.

A) Land services: hotels, tours, guides and transfers. Cancelled more than 2 weeks before the start of the trip: 90% refund (10% is kept to cover administrative costs and our providers’ penalties). Cancelled between 2 weeks and 1 week before: 60% refund (40% kept). Cancelled less than 7 days before, or no-show: no refund.

B) Domestic flights within Argentina. The airfares included in our packages are non-refundable under the airlines’ rules and do not allow changes of date or time in case of cancellation or no-show. This is independent of the land-services policy above.

C) Long-distance bus tickets. Refundable (approximately 80% of the fare) if cancelled at least 48 hours before departure. Within 48 hours of departure, or in case of no-show, the bus company does not refund.

D) Ferry tickets (Buquebus). Non-refundable under the ferry company’s rules; they do not allow changes of date or time in case of cancellation or no-show.

Because flights and ferries cannot be refunded, we recommend that you buy trip-cancellation insurance in your home country before travelling, so that you are covered in full if you have to cancel for health or personal reasons.

Changes to a confirmed booking

If you need to change dates, hotels or travellers after confirmation, tell us as soon as possible and we will do what the providers allow. Changes to flights and ferries follow the same rules as cancellations. Changes to land services depend on availability and may carry a difference in price.

If something changes on our side

Weather, strikes, road or park closures and similar events beyond our control can force a change to the programme. In that case we reorganise the day or replace the service with an equivalent one, and if a service cannot be operated at all we refund what the provider refunds to us. We do not cover expenses that fall outside the trip we arranged, such as international flights or extra hotel nights caused by an airline delay; this is what travel insurance is for.

Passports, visas and health

It is your responsibility to travel with a valid passport, any visa your nationality requires for Argentina, Uruguay or Chile, and any vaccination those countries ask for. We are glad to tell you what we know, but the final check is yours and with your consulate. Tell us in advance about any medical condition, reduced mobility or dietary need, so we can choose services that suit you.

Our responsibility

We choose our hotels, guides and operators carefully and we answer for the planning and the reservations we make. Delays, cancellations, losses or accidents caused by an airline, a hotel, a ferry company or another provider are their responsibility under their conditions of carriage or service, and we help you claim. Our liability is in any case limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service.

Privacy and contact

The personal information you give us is handled as described in our privacy policy. Questions about these terms: info@01argentina.com, or +54 911 3673 3091 (WhatsApp).
