FAQ

Full day tours: frequently asked questions

How long is a full day tour from Buenos Aires?

Most of the day — typically leaving in the morning and returning in the late afternoon or early evening. Day trips to Uruguay and the estancia are the longest.

Do full day tours include lunch?

It depends on the tour. The gaucho estancia day includes a traditional asado, the winery day includes a multi-course paired lunch, and the Puerto Madero city tour includes lunch. For the others we state clearly what's included when we quote.

Do I need a passport for the day trip to Uruguay?

Yes. Colonia del Sacramento and Montevideo are in Uruguay, so you cross an international border and need your passport. We handle the ferry tickets and the paperwork guidance.

Can I taste Argentine wine without flying to Mendoza?

Yes. Our boutique winery day trip takes you to an estate about 65 km from Buenos Aires for a guided tasting and a gourmet lunch among the vineyards.

What is Campanópolis?

A private medieval-style village built from reclaimed materials by one man, without architects or blueprints. Very photogenic and completely unlike anything else near Buenos Aires — visits must be arranged in advance.

Are these tours good for children?

Yes. Temaikén bio park and the gaucho estancia day are particularly popular with families, and the hop-on hop-off bus lets you set your own pace. Tell us the ages and we'll advise.

Are the tours private or shared?

Both. You can join a regular shared service or book a fully private tour with your own English-speaking guide and driver. We quote both options so you can compare.

Full Day Tours from Buenos Aires

Day trips that show you the Argentina beyond the city

Buenos Aires is a wonderful city, but some of the best experiences are a short drive away. Our full day tours take you into the Pampas for a gaucho estancia day with a traditional asado and folklore, to a boutique winery for a tasting and gourmet lunch among the vineyards, or to Campanópolis, a hand-built medieval village that feels like stepping into a storybook.

Families love Temaikén, a modern conservation park north of the city, while travelers who prefer to set their own pace can take the hop-on hop-off bus around the main sights. And because Uruguay is just across the river, you can spend a full day in Colonia del Sacramento — a UNESCO World Heritage colonial town about an hour away by fast ferry — or in Montevideo.

All our day trips include hotel transfers and English-speaking guides, and can be arranged shared or fully private. Tell us what you enjoy and how long you're staying, and we'll put together the ideal plan — with a free quote within 24 hours.
