Northern Argentina is made up of the colorful provinces of Catamarca, Jujuy, Salta, Santiago del Estero and Tucuman, it is an ideal destination for cultural tourism by countless myths, customs, crafts and legends that surprise the visitor at every turn.<\/p>\n

Tucum\u00e1n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Luxury<\/a>Rich in archaeological sites and traditional festivals. It was the birthplace of great figures of folklore, as Mercedes Sosa and Atahualpa Yupanqui, also hosted, for almost two centuries, the Congress which declared independence of Argentina.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The first destination of the cultural circuit in this province is San Miguel de Tucum\u00e1n, provincial Capital, City Historical declared its enormous wealth in old houses, plazas, museums, streets and temples.<\/p>\n

Santiago del Estero<\/strong>

\u2022 The Capital of Santiago del Estero, is the oldest city in Argentina. One of its main distinctive products are the leather crafts, basketry, pottery, silverware and especially the manufacture of musical instruments.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The main attraction of the region is the Quebrada de Humahuaca, declared World Heritage by UNESCO, 39 kilometers from San Salvador de Jujuy, the provincial capital. A road through several villages, in which prevails coya ethnicity, ancient customs, adobe houses, churches and fortresses.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Some of the most important are: Purmamarca, one of the richest in natural beauty for hosting the Cerro de los Siete Colores; Maimar\u00e1, star of the so-called “Painter’s Palette”; Huacalera where a monolith marks the crossing of the Tropic Capricorn and each June 21 marks the Inti Raymi (Festival the Sun) and Humahuaca, which leads to the ruins of Coctaca.<\/p>\n
