To get a first impression of them and some of the closest neighborhoods and learn more about their history and curiosities the first day in the city we took a guided tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are going to do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.01argentina.com\/sitio\/eng\/tours\/buenos_aires_tour_3.html\">tourism in Buenos Aires<\/a> and wonder what to visit, what are its main places of interest or what to do in the Argentine capital<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Plaza de Mayo: the center par excellence of the city and the scene of the most important political events in Argentina &#8211; the handkerchiefs painted on the ground remind the grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo &#8211; with the Casa Rosada &#8211; seat of the government in the that there are guided visits on weekends &#8211; the Cabildo and the Government Palace of the city of Buenos Aires.<\/li><li>Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires, with the mausoleum of General Jos\u00e9 de San Mart\u00edn, and the churches of San Francisco and Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Rosario.<\/li><li>A guided tour in the Apple of Lights, where some of the oldest buildings in Buenos Aires are located.<\/li><li>Caf\u00e9 Tortoni: have a drink at the oldest caf\u00e9 in Buenos Aires, 1858, and we have a special affection because it was one of our first stages of our one-year trip to South America. If you want to teach a tango class before attending the show of those who know, you can also do it at San Telmo <\/li><li>San Telmo Market, despite being very frequented by tourists, still retains some of the spirit of the old markets of the Argentine capital, from condiments, Patagonian pate or tropical fruits to antique stalls, vinyl and toys of yesteryear. This former abandoned alley has become, since the \u201850s, it is almost an open-air museum, with its works of art, its colorful houses, its musicians, its tango dancers, its street artists of all kinds \u2026<\/li><li>Boca Juniors Stadium &#8211; Alberto J. Armando Stadium, the \u201cBombonera\u201d &#8211; and the Museum of the passion of Boca, under one of the stands of the Boca Juniors Athletic Club.
