where the Fort once\nstood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the north of the Plaza is the Metropolitan Cathedral,\nwhich occupies the same place since the colony, and the building of the Banco\nde la Naci\u00f3n Argentina, whose plot was originally owned by Juan de Garay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another important colonial institution was the Cabildo,\nlocated to the west, which is not preserved in its original form as part of its\nstructure was demolished for the opening of Avenida de Mayo and the diagonal\nJulio A. Roca.\n\nTowards the south the building of the old\nCongress of the Nation is observed, where at the moment the National Academy of\nHistory works. There are housed several buildings with great historical value, such as\nthe San Ignacio Church and the headquarters of the National College of Buenos\nAires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the block you can see the hidden tunnels that ran through\nthe city during the colonial era and you can also visit the building where the\nDeliberative Council operated from 1894 to 1931.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the area of \u200b\u200bSan Telmo you can visit Plaza Dorrego,\nwhere every Sunday the famous Antiques Fair is installed. Also in its vicinity\nare several antique shops and a Jesuit complex formed by the church of Our Lady\nof Bethlem, the Parish of San Pedro Telmo and the Penitentiary Museum \u00abAntonio\nBallve\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the area there are also the National Historical Museum\nand the Lezama Park, where several sculptures and monuments were housed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the neighborhood of Recoleta there are a lot of tourist\nsites and many that also have a great cultural value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There you can find the main headquarters of the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, the generic floralis, among others. The climate of Buenos Aires is mild all year round.
