Las Leñas

Undisputed paradise for extreme skiing and heli-skiing, Las Leñas has a vertical drop of 1200 meters, located between the summit of 3430 meters and 2240 meters base.
In addition to its traditional slalom stadium, Las Lenas boasts of having one of the longest runways in South America. With 7050 meters long, ideal for intermediate skiers, this trail combines the already famous Apollo, Neptune and Venus and proposes an amazing journey, a pride among local skiers.
An uninterrupted drop of 1,000 meters long with slight slope is perfect for beginners. The more experienced have the possibility to ski even at night, with 2000 meters of illuminated slopes.
When no snow is not a problem in Las Lenas, as the ski resort has a modern system of manufacturing artificial snow (30 guns along the entire mountain) so that all tracks have the necessary thickness to meet the needs of every skier.

Salinas del Diamante

It is a protected natural area to the side of Route 144, 8 kilometers from the Nihuil (San Rafael and 60) .The marshes and lagoons are formed by two main branches and smaller river Atuel, ranging from the plain to reach the mouth of the Nihuil and La Salina.
In the area there are numerous species of waterfowl, such as swans and coots flamingos, besides the typical fauna (vizcachas, armadillos, rabbits of Castile, rheas and partridges)

The Sosneado

The town of El Sosneado, is located 50 kilometers from Malargüe; 140 kilometers from the city of San Rafael.La imposing Andes, the clearness of the sky, bearing a trade mark: The Sosneado, “where the sun first seen.”
A surprising mix combines the most diverse appointments: inactive volcanoes, hot water springs, which put us almost in another world nestled in the Andean mountains.

Los Molles

In the Valle de Los Molles is the “Thermal Resort Valle de los Molles” and an annex building thermal pools are located. This hostel is special for people who love tranquility and peace.
The area has a hotel infrastructure composed of a complex of cabins nievel first three hotels which has the oldest hot springs in two therapeutic alternatives: sulfurous pools and ferrous pools. The waters are rich in sulfur good for muscle problems and sore bones with different temperatures ranging from 38-42 degrees.

Laguna de la Niña Encantada

Located 7 kms. northwest of the hot springs of Los Molles, the lagoon of the Niña Encantada, is an enigmatic and beautiful place surrounded by remnants of volcanic lava, where a microclimate that allowed to grow lush vegetation. Thus, at certain times, you can enjoy an interesting array of flowers. Also in the blue waters of the lagoon there is a huge variety of species and hundreds of birds flitting by.

Pozo de las Ánimas

Located next to the Provincial Route 222, near the stream Yellow (6 km from Los Molles), this site is comprised of two depressions, divided from each other by a narrow gap, it is supposed that over the years they eventually connect the two wells into one, due to the erosion process. It is estimated that the size of the larger diameter wells is 300 and the water depth are 100 m and 24 forming a water depth of the bottom cone.
This (technically called sinkhole) geological formation was caused by the processes suffered underground deposits of gypsum. These, as a result of groundwater seepage and formed huge caverns beneath the surface.
It is a site of a curious and particular beauty perfect for photographic activity, as multifaceted as the time of day and season of the year.
