1st Day in Salta: You will begin the tour to Salta taking off from Bs As airport, once you land in Salta airport a tourist guide of 01argentina will be waiting for you with a sign with your last name to transfer you to your Hotel in Salta city. In the afternoon we will pick you up in order to take a City tour. During this sightseeing in Salta we will able to go around the Historic Downtown trough its colonial streets visiting the Cathedral, the San Francisco Church, the Town Hall, the Historic North Museum and the craft market. After that, you will go up to the top of San Bernardo hill in order to have a privileged panoramic viewpoint of the total extension of Valle de Lerma. Later, we will leave the city behind to visit San Lorenzo, a traditional summer town. Come back to the Hotel in Salta.

2nd Day in Salta and Jujuy: Andean Trip: This is a full day tour through the Extreme North of the country taking the parallel route to “Tren de las Nubes” (train to the clouds), along roads that zigzag through hills, plains and the most incredible landscapes.

We will leave early in the morning to go through the last town in the fertile Valley of Lerma, Campo Quijano and Quebrada del Toro. After that, we will make a short archeological trek in the pre-Incaic city of Santa Rosa del Tastil. The tour goes on zigzagging between the sky and the plateau up to San Antonio de los Cobres a naturally beautiful town where we stop for regional food (not included). In the afternoon we drive north to Purmamarca in the Province of Jujuy which has incredible views of scattered houses, and vicun'a animals living in the Puna’s solitude. Also we will see the impressive Salinas Grandes (Great Salt mines), white salt extensions that under the vibrant sun constitutes a real surrealist scene. We’ll stop for a walk there.

Afterwards, we will go up to the top of the Cuesta del Lipán (Lipán Hill), where you will be surprised by the view of the Hill of the Seven Colours, one of the most incredible landmarks and tourist places in Argentina. Later we drive north to reach Purmamarca, a charming town where we will spend the night.

3rd Day in Salta and Jujuy: Full day excursion to Humahuaca Gorge (Quebrada de Humahuaca): This is a UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site because of its Cultural Landscape that keeps ten thousand years of history still alive in a spectacular 155 kilometer valley. The route will take you to Uquía where we will see the colonial style church, the Pucará de Tilcara, where we will stop in Archaeological Museum and Humahuaca town, where we will see the Independence Monument and we will walk trough narrow and cobblestoned streets, with streetlights and adobe houses, a perfect example of colonial times. In the afternoon we will come back to Salta, stopping in the most charming villages and in San Salavador de Jujuy in order to see the historical core of the city and its monuments. 4th Day in Salta: Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Return to Buenos Aires. End of the Salta & Jujuy tour 4 days 3 nights.
